Big, Solid, Mean — Franny Warns Paul To Avoid Poatan

Ahead of the highly-anticipated rematch between Paulo Costa and Luke Rockhold, the former's coach, Eric Nicksick, thinks that Jake Paul should steer clear of Costa in a potential boxing match.

“Paul is big for a YouTuber but Costa is big for a middleweight. He’s not a small middleweight either. He’s a legit 205er. That’s a big dude. Jake Paul is not fighting a normal middleweight in Costa," Nicksick explained.

Nicksick went on to say that Costa is not just big, but also solid and mean.

"He's not just a big guy, he's a solid, tough guy. He's not going to get bullied around by Jake Paul. He's going to hit him back, and he's going to hit him hard. I don't think Jake Paul wants any part of that," Nicksick added.

While Paul has shown impressive power in his boxing matches against fellow YouTuber AnEsonGib and former NBA player Nate Robinson, Nicksick believes that Costa is a different animal altogether.

"Jake Paul has fought some big guys, but Costa is on another level. He's a world-class fighter. He's not going to be an easy opponent for anyone, let alone Jake Paul," Nicksick said.

Nicksick's comments come as Paul has expressed interest in a boxing match against Costa.

However, it seems that Costa is not interested in fighting Paul, at least not right now.

"I'm focused on my MMA career right now. I'm not thinking about boxing," Costa said.

Whether or not Costa ever decides to fight Paul, Nicksick's comments serve as a reminder of the dangers that Paul would face if he were to step into the ring with the Brazilian.
