Couple killed in Lambton County crash
A Windsor couple who had just celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary were killed in a car crash in Lambton County on Saturday.
Lambton OPP say the crash happened on Highway 402 near Forest at around 4:30 p.m.
Police say a car travelling westbound crossed the center line and collided with an eastbound pickup truck.
Victims identified as Windsor couple
The victims have been identified as 82-year-old Ronald MacNeil and 81-year-old Lois MacNeil of Windsor.
Police say the couple was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the pickup truck, a 26-year-old man from Sarnia, was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigation ongoing
The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the crash to contact them.
Couple remembered as loving and devoted
The MacNeils were well-known and respected members of the Windsor community.
They were both retired teachers and had been active in their church and community organizations.
Friends and family remember them as a loving and devoted couple who will be deeply missed.
